Toshiba invented the 4-way cassette in 1980, the design of which has been copied successfully by all air conditioning manufacturers worldwide.

The cassette has undergone some significant changes over the decades since it was first launched, reducing footprint and extending the range to include mini cassette models with lower outputs and designed for use in 600×600 ceiling panels.

The latest smart cassette offers unrivalled seasonal energy performance and lower noise levels together with longer separation distances between indoor and outdoor units.
